This document outlines and specifies the types of agency (Seller's Agency, Buyer's Agency, Dual Agency) possible in N.C. that an agent may take on in their professional relationship with you. Importantly, it states what you can expect from your agent given the type of agency you might have with him/her. The most commonly used is the Exclusive Right to Sell Listing. The latter gives your agent the sole and exclusive right and authorization to represent you in the sale of your home. With this agreement you gain your real estate agent’s singular commitment and dedication to sell your home, along with his/her competency, knowledge, his/her marketing skills and outlets, and networking resources. For his/her labor on your behalf, the agent is entitled to be compensated by you. We will discuss with you what our mutual responsibilities are to each other during the listing period.
